  • The Must-Haves:
  • You will be going into your third year in a Juris Doctor program at an accredited university or college in May 2024.
  • You’re available to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks from May 20 – July 26, 2024.
  • You will be located in North Carolina during the internship program.
  • You’re legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • The Legal and Administrative Affairs department manages a diverse, complex and often unpredictable portfolio of challenges that impact Blue Cross NC. Our work spans teams such as legal, privacy and ethics, corporate compliance, government affairs, special investigations, and audit and risk management. What sets our internship apart is that we have you in mind. The intern will be exposed to a variety of areas of law depending on personal interests, including healthcare, government affairs, privacy, corporate law, employment law, and litigation. As a Legal Department Intern, you will do things such as research specific questions of law and policy, review contracts, prepare legal memos and job aids, and analyze and monitor legislation while working closely with Blue Cross NC attorneys.
