Requirements

  • Our Legal Internship is best suited to current undergraduate law students who are able to undertake a full time, four-week internship in July 2024. However, we also welcome applications from current law school students and undergraduates from various disciplines who can demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in law.
  • The successful candidate will be proactive and eager to take on new challenges with a friendly, positive, and “can-do” attitude. You will also value the opportunity to build on your commercial awareness and legal skills in a dynamic and fast-paced office environment.
  • Essential requirements for the role are:
  • A predicted 2.1 grade or higher for your undergraduate degree. We are open to considering applications from current law school students and those completing an undergraduate degree in a different specialisation, provided they can demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a legal career
  • A genuine interest in learning about in-house legal work, coupled with a desire to understand the challenges faced by the company
  • A good sense of commercial awareness
  • Excellent written and spoken English, and the confidence to communicate legal material clearly in both written and oral form
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan your own work effectively, demonstrating a proactive approach to task prioritisation and time management
  • Self-motivation, self-awareness, and a willingness to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced office environment
  • The ability to conduct comprehensive legal research and present your findings effectively
  • Some experience drafting legal documents is advantageous but not essential, as training would be provided by experienced members of the legal team

Responsibilities

  • Within this internship at Costello Medical, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside our in-house Legal team, supporting with a variety of legal work and commercially focused projects across the company’s global business operations.
