Requirements

  • Completed 2nd year of an undergraduate degree in a business, logistics or other relevant discipline which includes a placement year prior to commencing final year.
  • An eagerness to learn new things and collaborate as part of a team.
  • A passion for sustainability and enthusiasm to make the world a better place.
  • The energy to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering tasks on time and to a high standard
  • An innovative mind, comfortable working with data and willing to bring new ideas/ challenge the status quo.
  • Some work or volunteering experience
  • Good collaboration skills as you will be working cross functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for Customer Care, Supply Chain, and Logistics Partners.
  • Facilitate daily operations call with Logistics Partners to review the status of shipments due to depart the next day, and day +2.
  • Review spot bid quotes that are outside of the pre-defined rules for Customer Care.
  • Facilitate daily operations call with our Freight Forwarder and review Port Dwell Times.
  • Work with Customer Care and Supply Chain Planning to investigate and identify the root cause for On-time to First Promise (OTFP) misses due to Logistics.
  • Ensure shipments are PGI’d in a timely manner (99%)
  • Support invoice review process.
  • Monitor metrics supplied by our Ocean Freight Forwarder.
  • Provide support to Logistics Procurement during Annual Road and Intermodal Freight RFQ.
  • Work with Logistics Manager to identify and implement savings initiatives.
  • Develop standardised SOPs for in-region Logistical Activities.
