Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years experience with asset/database management
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask over multiple projects
  • Possess a strong digital literacy with proficiency in Google Suite and Photoshop
  • Interested and competent working with hands on delicate hand-on tasks
  • Proven understanding of still and moving image cataloging and digital asset management systems
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven ability working with digitization of historical, archival, and cultural content
  • Education:
  • Pursuing or recently completed a Master's Degree in TV/Film Production or Still Photography, Library Science, Moving Image Preservation and Archiving
  • Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Additional Information:
  • Must have the ability to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship which will split between time onsite and working from home.
  • The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024- August 2024. Must provide own housing during the internship program in the San Francisco area
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from work
  • Must sign NDA and follow all security measures to protect company Intellectual Property and strategy

Responsibilities

  • Do you have a basic knowledge of Live Action Film Production, as well as analog and digital moving image media handling and identification?
  • While working with us, you will be primarily responsible for providing general support for the Film and Stills departments related to preservation and collection management. Cataloging physical media, tracking scan priorities, and documenting projects for archival material. This also includes:
  • Inspecting, inventorying, and cataloging of archival film, video and stills materials
  • Collecting research using in-house dataset and outside sources
  • Attending regular archive check-in meetings to remain coordinated with the Asset teams and provide updates.
  • Rehousing of archival materials such 35mm slides and negatives
