Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status)
  • Desired Skills:
  • At least Sophomore standing for undergrad at the time of application
  • Able to work at least 12 weeks (starting the end of May or early June through August)
  • Previous applicable internships
  • Self-starter
  • High level of computer skills (Microsoft Applications and Internet)

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Quality intern responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Validate defect modes found in warranty that have an associated PFMEA severity level
  • Confirm defect modes have an associated Occurrence and Detection rating leading to an Action Priority Score
  • Ensure Part numbers match the correct Engineering and Warranty structure
  • Work with Supplier Quality, IPD, and Manufacturing to ensure associated responsible values are correct
  • Ensure Controls Plans and PFMEA digital document display correctly
  • Work with the plants to ensure levels of controls are properly documented in the Master ListTravel to the plants as necessary
