Candidates for the Mechanical Design Engineering Intern position at Shield AI must be undergraduate, graduate, or PhD students expected to graduate in December 2024 or Spring 2025. They should have a strong work ethic, be dependable teammates, maintain high standards, and show kindness to others. Proficiency in 3D CAD, experience with creating 2D drawings and tolerance analysis, working knowledge of FEA principles, and a demonstration of mechanical aptitude are also required.

The Mechanical Design Engineering Intern will work on real projects under the guidance of a mentor, assisting in the design, analysis, testing, and validation of mechanical components and assemblies. They will also have the opportunity to explore the Dallas/Ft. Worth area with other interns.
