Interns can take advantage of a 9/80 schedule, which allows for every other Friday off.

Candidates should be making progress towards an undergraduate degree in a relevant engineering field, preferably entering their junior or senior year.
What is the minimum GPA requirement to apply?
The minimum GPA requirement is 3.0 or above.
Will I have a mentor during the internship?
Yes, mentors are assigned to assist interns in achieving engineering-related career development that is beneficial to both the intern and DRS.
What kind of tasks will I be doing as an intern?
Interns will carry out basic work instructions, conduct limited scope testing, gather and assemble data for engineers, conduct design analysis, and perform a variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff and practices.
Are there any specific technical skills or knowledge preferred for this position?
Knowledge of 3-phase power systems, power electronics, control systems, switchgear, motors, and energy conversion is a plus.
What security requirements must candidates meet?
Candidates must be U.S. citizens and meet DRS security standards imposed by the Department of Defense, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the U.S. government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
