What is the duration of the Motor Vehicle Technician Apprentice program?
The apprenticeship program lasts for three years.
Where will the off-the-job training take place?
The off-the-job training will take place at the BMW Group Academy in Berkshire.
What qualifications do I need to apply for this apprenticeship?
Applicants are required to have, or predicted to obtain, GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and one other subject.
Will I receive support during the apprenticeship?
Yes, during your time at the retailer, a mentor will be allocated to oversee your work-based learning program.
How often will I have training at the BMW Group Academy?
Training is completed in one-week blocks approximately once every two to three months.
Are there any costs associated with the training?
No, all training costs, including travel, accommodation, and food, are covered by the BMW Retailer.
What skills are desired for this apprenticeship?
Desired skills include good manual dexterity and a keen interest in automotive vehicles and the industry.
What qualities do I need to possess to be considered for this role?
You should have a positive attitude and work ethic, be honest and trustworthy, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
What will I be doing during the apprenticeship?
You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing motor vehicles to high standards and will have the opportunity to work with the latest cars, engines, and BMW diagnostic equipment.
What happens after I successfully complete the apprenticeship?
Upon successful completion, you will continue your development on the BMW Technical Programme.
