Requirements

  • To be eligible for our NatWest Markets Amsterdam internship, you’ll need:
  • To be in your penultimate year of university
  • To be on course to achieving a degree classification of 3.0 or 7
  • A study agreement with a European university or business school
  • A strong desire to develop your financial analysis and modelling capability
  • To understand and be passionate about sustainable finance instruments, market dynamics and the trading of financial products
  • A basic understanding of debt capital market concepts

Responsibilities

  • BeNeLux Corporate Coverage, Debt & Financing Solutions team is responsible for managing overall client relationships and originate new business opportunities including the analysis of client strategies for our Benelux client base, prepare client materials, and support client credit, portfolio and lending related processes. As an intern on this team, you’ll conduct company and industrial data research, credit and financial analysis, sector research, peer analyses, and business origination activities.
  • Our colleagues in Climate & ESG Capital Markets research and update clients on sustainable finance developments, analyse and benchmark investors’ ESG strategies, and help structure and execute green, social and sustainability-linked transactions. As an intern on this team, you’ll work on a variety of sustainability analysis projects, contribute to reporting and prepare client materials.
  • Across this internship program and you will work on both teams with 3 months dedicated to each team. You will also gain valuable exposure to the full suite of NatWest markets products and interact with teams from Debt Capital Markets, Loan Markets, Corporate Advisory, Trading, Rates and FX, and Transaction Services.
