Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Qualified candidates will be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a related major.
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong communications, initiative, and teamwork
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and an ability to apply to an automated test environment
  • Strong interest in understanding the fundamentals of transceivers from hardware (optics and electronics), system performance, and test perspectives

Responsibilities

  • Automating tests for characterizing Lumentum high speed coherent transceivers
  • Writing python code for communicating with instruments and recording data for the automated tests
  • Analyzing data and working with team members to quantify performance and to find bugs and issues that require further investigation and test
  • Preparing and presenting the results of the data and analysis in reports to team members and other stakeholders
