Requirements

  • We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a clear desire to break into the venture capital industry. Applicants must be enrolled in a 2+ year full-time graduate program (preferably MBA).
  • Job Requirements:
  • Currently working towards an MBA degree program or related majors
  • 2+ years of investment banking, venture capital / private equity, consulting or product management experience preferred
  • 2 or more years of working at a tech company in a PAM type role with a good sense of tech knowledge preferred
  • Strong analytical rigor, business acumen, project management, and relationship-building skills
  • Adept with technology and a strategic thinker and recognizes what is best for the business
  • Excellent judgment, mature personality, experience working with executives and a sophisticated and well-connected, worldly businessperson
  • Excited about the future of technology, financial services and commerce enablement
  • A Team player who is pro-active, assertive, action oriented, anticipates needs, and is highly accountable
  • Internship Program Information and Requirements:
  • This is a Summer 2024 Internship program. Spring and Fall 2024 internships are not available.
  • Must be returning to school in the Fall of 2024.
  • Must reside in the U.S. during the Summer internship program.

Responsibilities

  • The Operations Intern will report to the Operating Partner of PayPal Ventures, and projects, responsibilities, and tasks will likely include:
  • Supporting the Operating and Investment teams in all aspects of value creation for our portfolio companies
  • Supporting our team with analysis to understand portfolio performance and identify trends to enhance future investing decisions
  • Create executive presentations about portfolio performance and the PayPal Ventures mission
  • Support operations team on planning and operationalizing PayPal Ventures portfolio company events
  • Perform analysis and create collateral that helps senior leaders understand key trends, learnings and dynamics of the venture ecosystem
  • Developing industry expertise through deep dives, and providing the Investment team and PayPal executives with insights
  • Support our Head of EOF and work with 19 VC funds that PayPal has invested in, supporting on day-to-day operations and projects to drive bi-directional deal flow
