The candidate must be a continuing college or university student pursuing a graduate degree or have a completed bachelor's or master's degree. They should have a strong academic background, effective communication skills, and the ability to apply engineering and mathematical principles to solve technical problems. Experience or coursework in power systems, control systems, modeling or simulation, and proficiency in tools such as Matlab, PowerWorld, Python, or C++ are desirable. A GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.

The Power Systems Graduate Intern will provide technical and research support to projects in power systems, critical infrastructure, and cybersecurity, working with scientists and engineers. They will conduct research in areas such as power systems modeling, inverter-based resources, and alternative energy systems, and will also attend seminars, present work, and perform other assigned duties.
