What is the duration of the Pre-registration Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship?
The apprenticeship lasts for 2 years.
What qualifications do I need to apply for this apprenticeship?
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Maths, English, and Science, or a combined science award. Maths and English Functional Skills Level 2 can also be accepted.
Is pharmacy experience required for this role?
Pharmacy experience is not essential but is desirable.
What does the training for the apprenticeship involve?
The training includes a distance learning programme with the University of East Anglia, focusing on coursework for the Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice, along with practical experience.
Where will the apprenticeship training primarily take place?
The training will mainly take place at the John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospitals in Oxford.
What are the working hours for this position?
The position requires working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a commitment to one in six weekends, late duties, and working one Bank Holiday a year.
