What is the duration of the contract for the Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician position?
The contract is a 2-year fixed term contract commencing February 2025.
What are the working hours for this role?
The role requires you to work 37.5 hours per week.
Is there any pay protection for existing trust employees?
Yes, unless you are already working at the trust, you will be eligible for pay protection.
What is the starting salary for the Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician?
The starting salary is based on Band 4 Annex 21, which is 70% of the top of band 4 for the first year and 75% for the second year.
What qualifications will I be working towards in this role?
You will be working towards achieving the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship standard.
Will I receive support for my studies during my training?
Yes, you will receive full training within the Pharmacy and allocated study time at work, though you should also be willing to commit to additional study in your own time.
Where are the available positions located?
There are positions available in the main Pharmacy at Maidstone Hospital, the main Pharmacy at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, and within the Oncology department.
Will I need to work weekends or bank holidays?
Yes, after completion of essential training, you are required to participate in a weekend and bank holiday rota.
