Requirements

  • Junior or Senior level student pursuing a degree in Electrical/Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Physics/Mathematics or STEM related major
  • MS Office Suite (Excel advanced skills preferred)
  • AutoCAD experience helpful
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm to explore new ideas, creative outlook
  • Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
  • Previous internship experience in a manufacturing setting, a plus!
  • Salt Lake City Internship Program Requirements:
  • Available to start on May 28th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
  • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
  • 3.0 minimum GPA

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and evaluation of proposed designs and processes for manufacturability
  • Assist and oversee the new process equipment production
  • Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements and materials
  • Assist with statistical process analysis on new and existing products as well as the improvement of manufacturing safety, productivity and yield improvements
  • Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer
  • Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new process implementation
  • Participate in Kaizen Project to support standardization and sustainability for Warehouse and Supermarket process flow
