Requirements

Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree through an Accredited University - preferably students at a junior level or higher Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as a team member.
Ability to communicate at all levels with internal/external clients by phone, email, and in person.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
Eligibility:
Junior or Senior Undergraduate or recent grad.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills; Ability to multi-task.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Positive, professional individual with a desire to learn.
Highly organized and a self-starter.
Strong ability to be flexible and multi-task.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

As a Procurement Intern at Vertex, you will work closely with the Procurement team focusing in supplier management, indirect sourcing, contract negotiation, and procurement processes.
Assist with Procurement day to day support and strategic initiatives.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Utilize effective time management skills and workflow prioritization to meet deadlines and produce high quality work.
Provide analytical support to internal team to assist in project deliverables.
Conduct research on industry best practices and emerging trends in procurement.
Support strategies to optimize supplier selection, evaluation, and performance management.
Support the analysis of spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Assist in conducting supplier assessments and evaluations.
Help create training materials or resources related to procurement initiatives.
Support the implementation of new systems or tools that enhance procurement efficiency.
