Requirements

  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills to effectively articulate design concepts and decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret and use data in design decision-making.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to constructive feedback, but can also take initiative to work independently and jump in to identify issues and propose ways to fix them.
  • Curiosity and an excitement for learning!
  • You have an interest in supporting product design in crafting copy and structuring content that helps people understand, navigate and make decisions in digital experiences.
  • You are passionate about evangelizing the importance of content design and inclusive writing.
  • You have the ability to meet tight deadlines, adhere to styles and processes, and learn new technologies quickly.
  • You have a portfolio of writing examples demonstrating user-centered copy and design thinking.
  • Must be actively enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior, or Senior (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States.
  • The Nice To Haves:
  • Familiar with Content Management Systems and AirTable.
  • Major or focus in media, television, communications, film or business.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to understand current trends and user needs in digital advertising.
  • Collaborate with the design team create and maintain things such as:
  • Explore ad experiences that balance user needs with business goals, content design best practices, voice and tone guidance, and design system documentation.
  • Utilize design tools such as Figma to develop and iterate on visual and interactive designs.
  • Participate in user testing sessions, gather feedback, and refine designs based on user insights.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
  • Prepare and present design concepts and prototypes to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Learn how data and analytics can be used to monitor and inform advertising product experiences.
  • Create user experience (UX) copy using plain language to reduce complexity in a way that feels human and intuitive.
  • Ensure our UX copy is consistent, easy to understand, and aligned with the goals of the business and our customers.
  • Research and benchmark competitors, and use data to understand how to iterate based on identified pain points and customer delights.
  • Create content design solutions based on customer feedback, usability testing, and other data.
  • Create a content strategy that works within the interface to guide users through an intuitive and easy-to-use experience.
