Requirements

  • You will need a combination of some (not all) of the qualifications listed below:
  • Completion of 2+ years of study
  • Enrollment in BS/MS Electrical Engineering or related degree plan
  • Skills: C/C++, Visual Basic, PERL, Python, PCD design software
  • Previous coursework, projects, and/or internship experience featuring: Analog Systems, IC Design, Semiconductor Fabrication, Hardware Design Lab, Software Development
  • Relevant previous employment a plus
  • Extracurricular activities within organizations a plus

Responsibilities

  • As a Silicon Labs Intern working as a Product Test Engineer, you will help develop the industry’s leading products in IoT, all while being mentored and closely guided by the best engineers who have a vested interest in your success. You will receive plenty of exposure to our go-to-market projects as well as our people. You will also have numerous opportunities to learn, network, and develop new skills through our social events, leadership lectures, and volunteer opportunities.  
  • Our intern projects are designed to help you to grow your skill set while making meaningful contributions to our business. Here are some of the challenges you might get to tackle:   
  • Product and test development of high speed and mixed signal ICs from the post-design stage through manufacturing release. Develop test solutions used in design validation and mass production. Support manufacturing engineers on yield improvement, quality assurance, and cost reduction efforts.
  • Develop hardware and software for device characterization and production test on automated test equipment (ATE). Perform characterization and reliability qualification of new designs and provide statistical analysis of results. Develop hardware for stress tests in product qualification. Meet schedules for prototype evaluation, characterization, qualification and production release.
