Requirements

  • Qualification and Education Requirements:
  • The candidate must be available to work full-time in the Skyworks Irvine office for the Summer 2024 term.
  • The candidate must be working on a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar degree for the duration of the internship.
  • The candidate should have strong software skills, good data analytics skills, and electronics knowledge.
  • We will not consider students who have already graduated.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Additional skills that would benefit the candidate include applied statistics, experience with engineering data analysis systems, programming skills, and semiconductor manufacturing knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Using commercial and internally-developed tools to perform statistical data analyses in support of yield improvement, problem resolution, and other activities.
  • Developing or enhancing custom tools (software or scripts) used within the group or within Skyworks Solutions. This may include working with potential users to gather and document requirements, and investigating or testing potential solutions to determine options and recommend an optimal approach.
  • Providing training and support to product engineers, test engineers, yield engineers, and other engineers across Skyworks Solutions who use the tools supported by the Product/Test Engineering Tools team.
  • Creating or updating documentation on tools and processes.
