Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Engineering or related field preferred
Certified Cost Consultant (CCC) preferred
Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) preferred
Program Management Certification (PgMP) preferred
0-5+ years of experience
Experience in project costs, scheduling, and change management
Experience on Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning (EPCC) projects is required (Recent Graduate)
Understanding of Earned Value, project controls principles, and project management processes
Experience with the following software applications: Prolog, Oracle EPM financial systems, and Primavera P6
Experience in improving and standardizing Project controls reporting
Ability to analyze, communicate, recommend, implement and report cost information to various audiences including subcontractors, project staff, corporate leadership, and project controls functional leadership
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Exceptional organization and coordination skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
Basic understanding of Project Controls and cost management functions
Ability to travel to support both project and corporate needs

Responsibilities

Participates in the planning of all phases of a project. Assists in the development of project baseline budgets, maintaining project schedules, analyzing project risks, and providing analytical support to senior project leadership
Prepares cost, time and labor estimates, equipment and material projections, and productivity trend reporting. Provides analysis on key operations to accurately forecast these costs to determine expected financial outcome
Monitors project progress by comparing actual versus baseline resource usage, analyzes project variances, and forecasts anticipated expenditures
Prepares project financial reports for project reporting, providing an analysis of the project’s financials and schedule condition
Assists project leadership in preparing client progress reports
Assists in the development of procedures and automated tools to support budgeting and project management
Reviews monthly subcontractor payments and owner billings and participates in the creation and tracking of change orders
Assists in the tracking of project contingencies
Participates in the creation of the payment applications and understand its connection with the job cost report and key indicators
Other duties as assigned
