Requirements

  • Interns should be currently enrolled in a doctoral program in educational measurement, educational statistics, educational psychology, or a similar program.
  • At least two years of doctoral-level coursework must be completed prior to the summer of 2024
  • Interns should have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Pearson summer interns may not participate in other summer internship or externship programs concurrently.

Responsibilities

  • The internship will include hands-on experience working with operational K–12 assessments. Specific activities may include various aspects of assessment development, item analysis, standard setting, and technical reporting.
  • Internship Goals:
  • Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with a team of Pearson research scientists to:
  • Gain applied experience on many of the tasks involved in supporting an operational K–12 assessment contract;
  • Enhance understanding of ways to collaborate and communicate about educational measurement
