Requirements

Experience or interest in collecting, managing, or analyzing geographical data
Interest and knowledge in reading and understanding construction plans (as-builts)
Familiar with ArcMap or ArcPro
Ability to stay organized and work independently
To be eligible for the City of Boise Internship Program, applicants must be:
Undergraduate or graduate students with a strong academic record or graduated in the last 12 months from an accredited university
Majoring in geography, computer science, engineering, geographic information systems, or related fields
Be able to work up to 20 hours per week.
Be able to commit to the entire internship program.

Responsibilities

Public Works Geographic information systems (GIS) intern will be responsible for assisting in a range of GIS data entry as they apply to the City of Boise's regulations. Their duties will include georeferencing as-builts, mapping assets, documenting data, researching, and gps’ing.
