Requirements

  • Prior related work experience is desired, including co-op/intern programs with a focus on Safety, and/or Safety Auditing.
  • Demonstrated/proven strong leadership, technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated proven initiative - able to balance multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Junior, Senior or Graduate student currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate degree at an accredited 4-year College or University studying Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related Engineering major.
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within six months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist WSA Quality Engineers on special projects related to predicted safety in registered and non-registered attractions.
  • Lead meetings on sub-topics in support of project goals.
  • Perform field work in attractions for project research.
  • Review and assess alignment of key documentation used by Maintenance, Engineering, QA, and Operations.
  • Assist in the development of compliance-related process and procedures.
