The Opportunity
QVC is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic intern to support our Television Development team onsite at Studio Park in West Chester, PA.
QVC is providing a part-time, paid fall internship that runs from 9/09/2024 to 12/13/2024.
Who We Are
Television Development creates, develops, and produces priority programming for QVC. We partner with various teams (Scenic/Lighting/Control Room/Graphics/Etc.) to create QVC shows & events, then communicate our direction to the production teams. Creating a show starts with the selection of a set, continues through story segments, graphic treatments, talent/camera blocking then adding scenic elements to help tell the story of the show. In essence, we bring visions and ideas to life.
Your Impact
  • Learn to develop an event/show from the ground up
  • Create runs of shows
  • Attend creative production meetings for show development
  • Develop your critical eye for overall show/event aesthetics
  • Block sets and scenic elements through the eyes of the camera lens of studio/specialty cameras (Robotic/Jib/Steadicam/Handheld)
  • Learn shot composition, cable management, set and camera blocking
  • Build and send Production Guides (instructions for studio teams on how execute the show)
  • Observe our graphic designer in the support for QVC programming
  • Request assets within QVCs systems
What You Bring
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program for film production, theater, media studies, communication, or related fields.
  • You must be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student enrolled in an accredited college, university, or master's program.
Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
