Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Currently enrolled as a student for the duration of the internship program. Graduating December 2024 or later.
Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Strong academic record and a genuine passion for medical device innovation and technology.
Proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks) for 3D modeling and design.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and analytically.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Basic understanding of medical device regulations and quality standards (ISO standards, FDA regulations) is a plus.
Hands-on experience with prototyping tools and techniques is desirable.
Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to taking on new challenges.
Responsibilities
Assist in conceptualizing, designing, and prototyping new medical device concepts and solutions.
Contribute to the development of 3D models, prototypes, and mock-ups using CAD software and rapid prototyping techniques.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to integrate various components into cohesive medical device systems.
Participate in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and technical discussions to contribute fresh ideas and perspectives to ongoing projects.
Support testing and validation activities, including designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and documenting results.
Aid in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including design specifications, test protocols, and engineering reports.
Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies related to medical devices.
