Requirements

  • Candidate needs to be enrolled in an engineering bachelor's degree program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design reviews or problem solving on rail vehicle subsystems (HVAC, Propulsion, Braking, etc.)
  • Information take-offs from engineering drawings, and drawing interpretation
  • AutoCAD, Inventor, Sketch-up and other modeling projects
  • Spreadsheet, database, and programming development
  • Note-taking for project and design review meetings, possibly at client locations
  • Test data processing
  • Support for field tests and inspection of rail rolling stock, possibly at client locations
  • Assist with specification development - Preparation of correspondence, reports and other formal documents
  • Writing/reviewing test procedures for mechanical and electrical systems and equipment
