Requirements

  • Currently has, or are in the process of obtaining a PhD degree with specialization in computer vision and machine learning, such as computer science, electrical engineering, automation, or equivalent.
  • Experience in one or more of the following research fields such as indoor and outdoor semantics/scene understanding, neural scene representations (e.g., NeRF, gsplat, PiFU), 3D mapping & localization, multi-view geometry, SLAM, 3D reconstruction, sensor data fusion.
  • Proficient in Python with 1+ year experience in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX.
  • Prior knowledge in neural networks and computer vision concepts.
  • Ability to implement complex algorithms from research papers.
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
  • Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, 3DV, BMVC, MICCAI as first author.
  • Previous experience, either full-time or as an intern, in computer vision or machine learning.
  • Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op

Responsibilities

  • Literature study on the scientific state of the art for the given problem
  • Collaboration with other researchers from the assigned team and related teams
  • Development of algorithms to improve on the scientific state of the art for the given problem
  • Implementation of those algorithms in code and integration in our production systems
  • Design and execution of experiments suited to analyze the algorithm’s effectiveness
  • Regular communication of the research agenda, progress, and results, and writing a paper for publication.
