Requirements

  • Degree in Math, Economics, Finance, Business, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related programs
  • Knowledge of SQL Based Applications
  • Work Experience with MS Excel – Pivot Table creation and manipulations, formatting, complex formula creation (Vlookups, Index Functions, Boolean)
  • Knowledge of data visualization or project experience with MS Powerpoint, Tableau or Power BI
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate students must be a junior or senior at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Terminology such as Procedure Codes, Diagnosis Codes.
  • Will not require sponsorship for employment
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of the flow of revenue in government programs in managed care organizations with a focus on what risk adjustment means and impact to Healthfirst financial performance.
  • Conduct actionable and real time insights and analyses on specific data sets that inform accurate risk scores.
  • Develop and present recommendations for future Healthfirst initiatives and priorities.
  • Conduct literature review and research on best on effective industry practices.
