Requirements

  • 0-3 years of bridge or road design
  • Engineering experience on road or bridge projects, including design-build and other alternative delivery projects
  • Bachelors and/or Masters degrees in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field
  • Have the interest and ability to work on multiple bridge or roadway projects at once
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High knowledge level of MS Office tools, CAD proficiency (Microstation preferred), and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of industry standards and applicable engineering software
  • What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • EIT
  • Prior internship experience

Responsibilities

  • Determine creative and innovative methods and solutions for complex road or bridge engineering problems and select the most efficient and economical manner to achieve objectives
  • Assure that the designs are in accordance with approved Federal, State and local agency requirements as well as following accepted industry practices and procedures
  • Provide specifications, estimations, quantity calculations, technical reports, and detailed engineering analyses
  • Review supplier drawing submittals and perform technical bid analyses
  • Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents
  • May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a design engineer for intermediate to large scale projects
