Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Build effective collaboration and communication in a team environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, (Visio, Lucidcharts a plus)
  • Some experience with failure analysis of electrical/electronic components
  • Ability to prioritize and manage project timelines in a fast paced environment
  • Bonus Qualifications:
  • Understand the importance of quality and has the confidence to bring up quality issues and help resolve them
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data related to field returns to recognize trends and recommend corrective actions
  • Utilize problem solving methodologies for root cause analysis on recurring issues
  • IPC knowledge

Responsibilities

  • The Safety Strategy and Operations Team at Zoox is a cross­-functional organization, responsible for advancing Zoox’s primary safety management system and ensuring a proactive safety culture across the company. The Safety Strategy and Operations Intern will lead a critical independent safety process initiative and support the team’s safety efforts.
  • As a spring/summer 2024 intern on this team, you will have a valuable opportunity to tackle a substantive, independent project, while also supporting the team’s overall mission. They will have the opportunity to develop relationships, conduct internal projects, and help us with external outreach.
