Requirements

  • Must be a confident, driven, self-starter with a proactive approach to work.
  • Excellent communications skills – verbal, written and interpersonal.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and build honest relationships with high integrity.
  • Ability to effectively present information in group settings to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet important deadlines.
  • Comfortable with numbers and financial analytics – margins, and pricing, etc.
  • Must be comfortable navigating through and managing ambiguity.
  • Open to relocation for full-time placement after internship preferred.
  • Expect to travel often.
  • Qualifications:
  • Candidates should currently be enrolled in a bachelor's Business Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Communications, or business-related program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2024 or May 2025.
  • GPA of 3.0+ preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Schwan’s and basic Food Service Industry sales experience; including organization, time management, sales planning and some call execution, product and industry knowledge, presentation skills, food safety guidelines, basic culinary skills, and gaining knowledge to work effectively with operators from K12, contracted, non-contracted, and distributor segments.
  • Support the team with distributor and operator events; support sales activities with team members at the customer account level.
  • Operator engagement and product sampling involvement to include food show participation and distributor meetings.
  • Work on 2+ summer projects to help accelerate sales momentum; present results to senior leadership.
  • Build cross-functional internal relationships and customer relationships.
