Requirements

  • Prior internship experience in the field of film development and production or other related fields
  • Possess a strong a curiosity about the film and entertainment industry
  • Proficiency within Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven track record of multitasking and maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to work both independently and in team settings with a positive, pro-active demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with Searchlight Pictures
  • Required Education:
  • Junior, Senior or recent graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Television, or related
  • Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
  • Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Additional Information:
  • Able to have a consistent and reliable full-time work schedule throughout the internship dates of June 2024- August 2024.
  • Able to provide own housing and transportation during the internship in the Burbank area

Responsibilities

  • As a Development intern, you will be part of a small team that offers a hands-on approach to the development process from start to finish. This opportunity also provides exposure to the overall film industry. You will report to the Senior VP of Production. Projects could include, but not be limited to:
  • Collecting and distributing a daily newsletter (relevant news and daily trends)
  • Reading and sharing feedback on incoming project submissions and drafts
  • Compiling lists of writers, directors and cast for various projects and checking availabilities
  • Participating in industry or project related research projects
