What is the Skyborne Indigo Cadet Programme?
The Skyborne Indigo Cadet Programme is a training program designed in partnership with IndiGo to select, train, and supply industry-ready pilots for IndiGo, allowing cadets to learn and train in preparation for their career as A320 First Officers.
What qualifications do I need to apply for the program?
Applicants must possess an education level equivalent to 10+2 with at least 51% in each of English, Maths, and Physics.
What medical requirements must I meet to join the program?
You must hold a current and valid DGCA Class I Aviation Medical Certificate and obtain a US FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate before commencing flight training.
Is there a language proficiency requirement for applicants?
Yes, applicants must be fluent in English—both written and spoken. A minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or an equivalent score on TOEFL or TOEIC tests is recommended.
Can I apply if I haven't completed my DGCA CPL theory exams?
Yes, you can still apply even if you have not completed the exams, provided you are eligible and able to complete them before commencing flight training with the help of SKYWORX India DGCA Distance Learning Course.
What is the selection process for the program?
The selection process includes applying online, screening against specific criteria, completing psychometric and aptitude assessments, attending a one-day assessment center, and a final selection phase with IndiGo.
Is there a nationality requirement to apply for the program?
Yes, applicants must be Indian nationals or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) holders, eligible for a US Visa for studies, and must have a DGCA computer number.
Will I receive employment assurance after completing the program?
Yes, successful candidates will be presented with a Letter of Intent to Employ from IndiGo before starting the program.
