Requirements

  • You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Candidate must be pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical STEM degree.
  • Background and experience managing complex project management tools and methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall or a hybrid methodology.
  • Proven proficiency in process systems engineering and lifecycle management software tools.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and interpreting the results to guide an organization's decision-making process.
  • Knowledge or experience automating infrastructure.
  • Infrastructure development background in data transformation and ingestion.
  • Experience or skill set knowledge building AI models that can make predictions based on large quantities of data.
  • Background or ability to transition machine learning models into APIs that interact with other applications.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Modeling skills and knowledge of financial processes/systems.
  • Management and planning skills, skills to work independently.
  • Advanced critical thinking skills.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Collaboration skills.
  • Business acumen with an understanding of business processes.
  • Business driver skill set to provide insight on key issues identified.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the approach and design decisions and creating an implementation that supports overall design.
  • Working with other engineers on the team, particularly more junior engineers through pair programming, open communications, and collaboration
  • Actively participate in our Agile development lifecycle, including planning and grooming, stand-up, and retrospectives.
  • Proactively perform code reviews, give feedback, and ask questions.
  • Actively participate on one to two scrum teams including sprint and release related meetings such as planning, grooming, reviews, and retros.
  • Own (along with team) all aspect of the application, including quality, performance testing, and production support.
  • Work with other members of the team in a proactive fashion, especially any junior programmers, mentoring as necessary.
