Do we support remote work?
No, this position requires interns to work from our Seattle, WA or Redwood City, CA office.
What is the duration of the internship?
The internship lasts for 12 weeks during the summer of 2026, from May to September.
What are the required qualifications for this internship?
Candidates must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science or a related technical field and must graduate by June 2027.
Are there any preferred qualifications for applicants?
Yes, preferred qualifications include a strong background in data structures and algorithms, coding and problem-solving skills, familiarity with distributed systems and/or databases, and fluency in at least one programming language for server development such as C/C++, Java, Go, or Rust.
Will interns be treated as full team members?
Yes, interns will be treated as junior engineers with the same expectations, project opportunities, and responsibilities as full team members.
What kind of projects might interns work on?
Intern projects may include adding features to high-performance backend servers, enhancing system scalability and performance, developing new algorithms, and designing backend data pipelines for big data.
