Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience in software engineering.
  • 0-2 years experience of deploying infrastructure with CloudOps technologies: Docker/Containers, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or other cloud providers, Terraform.
  • Strong communications skills and ability to adapt in a fast paced environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) deployments and/or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Terraform, Cloud Foundation Toolkit (CFT), and/or YAML.
  • Knowledge of BASH or related scripting languages and Go, Java, or similar general-purpose backend services programming languages.
  • Passionate about creating and building an excellent development environment/experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with CloudOps/Infrastructure engineering team to develop, test, and deploy infrastructure on GCP.
  • Develop and support cloud environments and infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Encourage and document engineering excellence within CloudOps/Infrastructure team and for Verily engineering teams.
  • Automation champion of repeatable tasks to create workflow efficiencies.
