Requirements

  • PhD student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related fields;
  • Expert knowledge of video/audio compression standards, video/audio codecs, such as H.264, HEVC, VVC, VP9 or AV1;
  • Expert knowledge of real-time video/audio processing technologies;
  • Strong interest in multimedia;
  • Good programming skill with at least one of the following languages: C/C++, Java, Python or Golang;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in audio 3A processing algorithms, acoustics, 3D spatial audio algorithms;
  • Proficient in camera 3A(AF, AE, AWB) algorithms, video processing algorithms such as scaling, noise reduction, tone mapping;
  • Experiences in WebRTC, RTP/RTCP, x264, x265, FFmpeg, or VoIP product;
  • Experience with video chat, live streaming or video conference on Android or iOS;
  • Experience with ML techniques for audio/video processing.

Responsibilities

  • Research and innovate in multimedia on our cutting-edge RTC platform;
  • Design and develop new audio/video algorithms to improve the user experiences;
  • Optimize the algorithm and pipeline to reduce power consumption;
  • Analyze data, tune parameters and optimize the RTC ecosystem;
  • Participate in creating technical specifications and code review.
