Requirements

  • Must be proficient with Excel/Office 365 and general computer skills
  • Familiarity with qualitative/quantitative research or data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and good organizational & planning skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Flexible and able to adjust to changing demands
  • Available to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed
  • Note: The Strategy Department encourages applications from both business/marketing students looking to expand into the creative arts sector and arts students interested in pairing their studies with business strategy, analytics, and/or research.
  • Preferred Experiences:
  • Previous experience with managing projects to completion
  • Intern applicants must be currently enrolled in a college (preferably entering senior year after summer 2024) or graduate school program.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze visitor experience data, creating analytics presentations to share with leadership.
  • Assist in day-to-day project management in strategic inter-departmental initiatives.
  • Maintain organizational/staff metrics by completing regular data analysis.
  • Create presentations as needed on datasets provided by leadership.
  • Possible Projects:
  • Complete visitor research survey on a Rock Hall special exhibit: design survey, collect data, analyze data, and present results.
  • Complete a project of your choosing that benefits the museum's overall strategy and aligns with your personal career goals. Past project examples include creating internal project management workflows, developing museum-wide reports, and creating campaigns with the merchandising department.
