Yes, the intern must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics, or be currently enrolled in an accredited Coordinated Program in Dietetics.
What kind of supervision does the dietetic intern receive?
The Clinical Manager assigns and monitors all assignments, with direct supervision from a Registered Dietitian based on an agreed education plan.
Can the dietetic intern care for family members who are patients?
No, the intern cannot care for a patient who is a family member. If a family member is a patient, the intern will work on days the patient is not in the facility or will be assigned to another patient.
