Requirements

  • Education:
  • Registered full time in a College Diploma or Undergraduate degree programs including but not limited to the following areas of study:
  • Communications
  • Journalism
  • Advertising
  • Marketing
  • Web Design
  • Graphic Design
  • Audio/Visual Production
  • Media Techniques
  • Applicants must be registered as a full-time, post-secondary student in an accredited academic institution recognized in Canada during their work term. Special consideration may be given to those enrolled in an accredited co-op/internship program.
  • Experience:
  • Candidates with experience in the following are preferable:
  • Experience may have been acquired through formal and informal settings (e.g. school, volunteer work experience or projects)
  • Coding HTML webpages in a Content Management System.
  • Coordinating and assisting with content development for webpages, intranet sites, SharePoint sites and others including Drupal.

Responsibilities

  • Administering and posting files on CSIS websites and assisting in writing and editing content when needed.
  • Consulting with clients and colleagues, obtaining and providing information, discussing and confirming requirements, and providing support in the delivery of digital communications services.
  • Researching and analyzing trends and emerging issues in the digital communications environments, and report on findings.
  • Providing support in the planning, coordination, and management of regular updates of information on CSIS websites.
  • Remaining current on web and digital media techniques and their application.
