Requirements

  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:
  • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university, in [one of] the following degree programs: Bachelors/Masters/PhD, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Physics, Biology
  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site at our Phoenix location, from May 20th, 2024 – August 2nd, 2024.
  • Must be able to apply logical and scientific thinking principles to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions in controlled situations, and read and understand engineering plans and specifications.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, across functional departments and with external customers, contractors, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting workplace hazard assessments including chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic hazards.
  • Developing and implementing safety programs to prevent or minimize workplace hazards. This includes developing policies and procedures, providing training to employees and ensuring safety regulations and standards are being followed.
  • Investigating workplace incidents to determine their cause and identify contributing factors.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards (local, state, and federal).
