Requirements

  • A passion for our mission!
  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
  • Must be comfortable with Zoom and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Actively participate in the Summer Intern Innovation Project through cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and your assigned project.
  • Ability to work in a team environment but also work strong independently.
  • Ability to be organized and detailed to balance several projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Majors preferred: Communications, Public Relations, Business, Marketing, or any other related field of study.
  • Skills preferred: MS Office Suite with Intermediate or advanced experience with Excel. Excellent writing and communication skills are required. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Field Development creates and executes shared experiences to acquire and cultivate donors in each territory. The Eastern Florida office focuses on fundraising and creating awareness of the mission of St. Jude with various programs, including Dinners, Galas & Golf, Radio, Fitness/Heroes, Walk/Runs, and Relational development.
  • Projects include:
  • Develop a comprehensive social media plan for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM) with teasers in August and a robust post schedule for September
  • Drive participation in SJWR activities across South Florida by supporting team recruitment and outreach to 3 walks (Miami, Broward, and Palm Beach), securing in-kind products/vendor relationships, and earned media
  • Generate new and different ideas to attract various audiences/market segments to support St. Jude during September
  • Partner with Eastern Florida & Puerto Rico staff to understand their daily work and highlight ideas for new engagements
