Requirements

  • Educational Experience/Requirements:
  • Preferred Major(s): Education, Curriculum Development, Communications
  • Preferred Level of Education: College sophomore and above
  • Required enrollment status: Full-time (as defined by your academic institution) in a degree program at an accredited college or university
  • Physical Requirements:
  • The demands associated with the normal office environment
  • Must be able to comply with office policy to work on-site twice per week
  • Light physical activity, including walking outdoors and climbing stairs
  • Standing and sitting for periods of time
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Good project management skills
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of curriculum development
  • Proficiency in Zoom
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to build positive relationships with youth and adults

Responsibilities

  • In this role within the Training & Workforce Development department’s Workforce Partnerships unit, interns will:
  • Facilitate orientation and professional development sessions and debrief meetings to youth summer participants.
  • Lead in-person and virtual community building activities.
  • Track attendance of program participants.
  • Participate in field experiences and excursions.
