What is the duration of the internship?
The internship program is a paid 10-week summer program.
What educational background is required for this internship?
Candidates should be currently enrolled in a PhD program in computational biology, biostatistics, or a similar field.
What skills are preferred for applicants?
A strong foundation in biochemistry, cancer biology, or immunology, experience in applied statistics and machine learning, and proficiency in R or Python (with R preferred) are preferred. Experience with RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics is a plus.
What kind of tasks will interns be responsible for?
Interns will be responsible for using and developing systems biology algorithms, analyzing single-cell RNA sequencing or spatial transcriptomics data, integrating independent datasets, and communicating analysis results to the team.
Will there be opportunities for mentorship during the internship?
Yes, interns will work with a mentor and collaborate with experienced computational biologists and disease subject matter experts.
Is there a requirement for full-time availability?
Yes, candidates must be able to work full-time for the duration of the program.
How will interns present their results?
At the end of the summer, interns will present their results to the entire Informatics and Predictive Sciences group.
Are there opportunities for learning and professional growth?

What is the on-site work requirement for this position?
Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite presence; onsite work is considered essential for collaboration and productivity.
