Requirements

  • Required Education:
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student)
  • A degree in computer science, machine learning, statistics, bioinformatics, engineering or a related field
  • Required skills:
  • Strong software development skills in Python
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn libraries such as: PyTorch, TensorFlow, PyG, or DGL.
  • Proactive Learning: Demonstrates a willingness to actively learn about new state-of-the-art methods and engage with existing codebases, supported by team members.
  • Resourcefulness: Ability to quickly assimilate new information to perform assigned tasks effectively.
  • Basic understanding or willingness to learn about Linux OS commands and tools such as Conda, Docker, or Singularity.
  • Excellent communication, technical collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Complements our culture and the standards that guide our daily behavior & decisions: Integrity, Courage, and Passion.
  • Familiarity with or interest in applying image processing methods to biomedical images. Any experience or knowledge of utilizing acceleration hardware would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to or eagerness to learn about training and evaluating deep learning models using cloud-managed services such as AWS or GCP.
  • Any prior experience or coursework involving MLops tools or involvement in projects with large-scale data or model implementations, like Large Language Models, would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Developing deep learning models with imaging and biomedical data obtained from clinical trials and the mentorship of senior team members.
  • Support machine learning efforts from data preparation to analyses of model training and deployment.
  • Learn code development and maintenance and understand professional governance and review policies.
  • Engage in team meetings and training sessions to improve machine learning and coding skills, and receive regular professional development feedback.
