Responsibilities

  • Effective team-work with S&P co-workers to complete tasks
  • Submittal Process – The Submittal Process will include the review and approval of shop drawings and product data, communication with the Architect and Engineers, and complete logging of all items transmitted between subcontractor, supplier, S&P, architects, and engineers. Part of the Process will include verifying the materials submitted are being installed in the field.
  • Preparation of Bid Packages- Estimating and preparing bid packages for new work is the backbone of our work. You will get hands-on experience completing quantity take-offs for an actual S&P bid. Part of this process will include participating in a bid submission. S&P’s management team will provide an estimating exercise for you and get an inside look at how S&P effectively completes a bid to procure work.
  • Recording and Documenting a Project – As-built drawings are the record documents that are used for: 1) verification of percentage complete at monthly payment; 2) submission to the owner at the completion of the project; and 3) for S&P records. You will assist in accurately reporting the project’s progression by posting as-builts into the record documents. This will include posting RFIs, Addenda, ASIs, and S&P and subcontractor as-built drawings as well.
