Requirements

  • Preferred field(s) of study: business, economics, finance, public policy, and any related fields
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program; recent graduates are also encouraged to apply
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for the mission of NYCEDC
  • Proven ability in using database and presentation tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
  • Proactive and able to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams
  • Must be able to work full-time and complete the entirety of the 12-week program

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with the tasks to manage and administer portfolios of economic development agreements, including:
  • Reading transaction documents to determine project requirements and covenants;
  • Obtaining and analyzing required reporting documents in order to verify portfolio projects’ compliance with various project requirements;
  • Maintaining and updating the Compliance database;
  • Maintaining files and drafting correspondence/memos to document the status of portfolio projects’ compliance with their respective agreement
  • Preparing and conducting site visits to inspect construction progress
  • Contacting representatives of portfolio projects via phone and email
  • Other duties as assigned
