The ideal candidate for the Summer Intern, Compliance position at New York City Economic Development Corporation should have a preferred field of study in business, economics, finance, public policy, or related fields, be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program (recent graduates are also welcome), demonstrate enthusiasm for the mission of NYCEDC, possess strong database and presentation tool skills, exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be detail-oriented and organized, and have the ability to work in collaborative teams and meet deadlines. Full-time availability for the 12-week program is a must.

The Summer Intern, Compliance at New York City Economic Development Corporation will work closely with Project Managers to manage and monitor economic development agreements, including reviewing transaction documents, analyzing reporting documents, updating the Compliance database, conducting site visits, and contacting project representatives.

Interns are expected to work&nbsp;full-time&nbsp;throughout the&nbsp;summer.&nbsp;</li><li>Summer&nbsp;interns will join an intern class consisting of undergraduate and graduate students to work on exciting projects in one of EDC’s many dynamic departments.&nbsp;Summer&nbsp;Interns will also participate in training programs, networking events, and other professional development opportunities over the course of the program.&nbsp;</li><li>Compliance is responsible for the management, administration, and reporting of a diverse portfolio consisting of&nbsp;New York&nbsp;City Industrial Development Agency and Build NYC Resource Corporation transactions, NYCEDC land sales, Applied Science projects, and certain loan agreements. In addition, Compliance plays a critical role in the preparation of annual public disclosure reports as mandated by State and local laws. The Intern will assist Compliance Project Managers who are responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, data accuracy, and enforcement of their diversified portfolio.
