Requirements

  • As a minimum requirement you`ll need to be on course for achieving a 2:2 in a Bachlors Degree in Business
  • To be considered for this role you must be returning to University to complete your degree.

Responsibilities

  • As an Summer Intern you will Support the life management of Warships, delivering availability, demonstrating value for money to the customer. This role provides a great foundation for Project Management learning about Project Controls, provides an insight into general business management. The role offers opportunities to engage across the organisation and be exposed to the breadth of the Asset Management business. Working alongside the MoD and Royal Navy to deliver major work packages to ensure the Fleet has the upmost operational capability possible.
  • We also provide the opportunity to get involved in projects outside of your primary remit. We encourage you to seek a stretch project in which you’ll gain different experiences. With our huge portfolio of products and our multinational presence, there are opportunities to get involved in something different around every corner. Additionally, we encourage involvement in community projects, STEM initiatives and support groups (called employee resource groups) which all provide valuable learning and development experiences that you may not have access to in your day-to-day role. We are also fully committed to supporting graduates to work towards professional registration and Chartership with a range of professional institutes (e.g. the IET and IMechE).   • Specific activities could include:
  • Work with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Support project managers with monitoring and reporting of project progress
  • Become familiar with the PM process and tools used in project delivery
  • Deliver specific elements or work packages with the support from the rest of the project management community
