Requirements

  • To be eligible for the programme, you must be an undergraduate who will be returning to University after you have completed the internship. No previous experience is required, we are looking for students who are intrigued and motivated to learn more about the financial world and are committed to learning more about Corporate and Leveraged Finance.

Responsibilities

  • The role encompasses a wide range of tasks which will vary according to the activity of the Corporate & Leveraged Finance (“CLF”) group during the work experience period. It is expected the role will involve a level of work on new/live transactions, including leveraged loans and high yield bonds, for financial sponsor backed and corporate clients across all sectors (including TMT) in Europe. The role will also include assisting senior staff on the management of the portfolio.
  • Assist the team in the preparation of marketing materials and pitches to both financial sponsors and corporate clients
  • Conduct analysis of markets (business / sector / transactional / pricing comparables) and credit analysis of potential issuers
  • Assist the team in the execution of transactions; including leveraged loans or high yield bond, across all sectors (such as TMT, healthcare, consumer retail, industrials…)
  • Assist the team in the monitoring of portfolio company trading / developments
  • The role may require the individual to work with individuals in other teams within the bank, such as: the syndicate desk, ratings advisory, the ESG team, coverage (financial sponsors and corporate), internal legal, and various back office functions, amongst others
  • Assistance to senior management in all other areas of the business as required.
