What is the focus of the Summer Internship in Tax at PwC Belfast?
The focus of the internship is to help clients navigate tax complexities, manage tax risk, and comply with legislation, working with a variety of clients including large organizations, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals.
What areas of tax will I be involved in during the internship?
You will work in both Direct Tax and Indirect Tax teams, gaining experience in areas such as multinational advisory projects, mergers and acquisitions advice, and tax compliance.
What qualifications do I need to apply for this internship?
You need to be in your penultimate year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or in your final year with a confirmed one-year postgraduate place. You should also be on track to achieve an undergraduate degree or above in any subject.
When should I apply for the Summer Internship?
You should apply as soon as possible, as applications may close early if there is high interest. Once you submit your application, you will have seven days to complete the online test, which is the first stage of the recruitment process.
What kind of training will I receive during the internship?
You will receive on-the-job training that prepares you for client projects, helping you gain insight into the business, build networks, and work alongside specialists in your chosen area.
Is there a possibility of a graduate job offer after the internship?
Yes, based on your performance during the internship, there may be an opportunity to join one of PwC's Graduate Programmes upon graduation in the same office and business area where you completed your internship.
Do I need to have specific grades to apply?
Yes, you will need to have achieved or be on track to pass an undergraduate degree or above, and your eligibility will be determined based on the grades from your last completed year of academic study.
Will I need the right to work in the UK during the internship?
Yes, to be eligible for a graduate role after the internship, you must hold your own right to work in the UK, which you will need throughout your employment.
